PBSD Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Barbaree discussed welcoming new member Patrick Lockett

The Pine Bluff School District Board welcomed a new member Monday night during its regular monthly meeting.

The new member is Patrick Lockett who was elected Nov. 5, defeating former teacher Charlene Wright. Lockett is the director of Code Enforcement for the City of Pine Bluff.

School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was asked if there is a list of things that new board members are told, or if there was some special training involved.

Barbaree appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and also talked about how the voting went for board president, vice-president and secretary.

She said that board policy is that there will be an election for new board officers after every November election.
