White Hall High School has a new head football coach this year and on Wednesday, that new coach, Daryl Patton, was asked what kind of team the fans will see this year, a passing team or a running team, and what about the defense.
Patton appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and has taken teams at other schools to the state championship. Morning Show host Greg Horne told him that “you’re not going to the state championship without a lot of good players, I don’t care how good a coach you are.”
“I’m proud of our kids,” Patton said. “We’re in a tough conference but we’re going to battle every week.”
Horne said Pine Bluff High School Head Football Coach Michael Williams appeared on the show last week and said he feels good about his team. Horne went on to say the two schools are five miles apart and in the same conference now.
