United Way’s Jason Duren and Boys and Girls Club director Devonte Calhoun discussed the Hero’s Banquet and fan drive

Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 and this week, Devonte Calhoun, director of the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County joined Will and Greg to talk about the recently completed Heros Banquet, the Club’s annual fundraising event.

After running through the list of people who were honored, Calhoun talked about the success of the event.

Calhoun did not disclose the exact amount the unnamed donor contributed but described it as “a nice chunk of money.”

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Calhoun to explain the eligibility requirements for participation in the club and he responded this way.

He was also asked about the selection process.
