A $10,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of threatening her sister with a knife during an altercation Tuesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Anyona Williams, 18, with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a house on Tulip Street.

Banks reported that officers located a witness who gave a statement corroborating King’s account of what happened.

Williams, who Akel said had no prior felony convictions, was ordered to have no contact with her sister and told to come back to court Aug. 2. She said she would hire her own attorney.
