Work continues on Go Forward Pine Bluff’s project at 6th and Main Street as the Pine Bluff City Council on Monday finally approved legislation dealing with naming rights for structures within the plaza in return for a $2 million donation from Simmons Bank to complete the project.

Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff was asked about the council finally approving the resolution when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.

Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Watley if anything had changed in the resolution, which had been on the agenda for the council for three straight meetings, only to be pulled twice, to get the final approval.

Horne said the 2 million was like a third of the total cost of the project and Watley responded this way.

Watley was also asked when he expected the four restaurants and the retail space to be up and running.
