A $100,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of robbing a convenience store March 27.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Taylor Phillips, 18, with aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Dante Nicholson, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said at about 5 p.m., police were sent to Fast Mart at 2504 S. Cherry St.

Reed reported that the next morning, police were sent to a reported disturbance at an apartment at 1100 E. 36th Avenue.

When Phillips was questioned, he said he didn’t want to talk about it.

Reed said Phillips has two pending cases, one for communicating a false alarm and the second for aggravated robbery and theft of property.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 26.
