A $25k cash only bond set for a Pine Bluff woman being charged with aggravated assault

A Pine Bluff man and woman were arrested Thursday after the man was allegedly involved in a disturbance and the woman allegedly tried to prevent the man from being arrested.

Sherrelle Kimble, 33, and Napoleon Johnson. 45, were taken into custody after they were found in a house by police.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson during a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Feb. 7, police were sent to a reported disturbance on South Cherry Street and attempted to arrest Johnson, who tried to flee on foot.

Police attempted to locate Johnson and Kimbel and found them on Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 cash only bond for Kimble after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor and felony fleeing. A $25,000 secured bond was set for Johnson probable cause of hindering apprehension. Both were told to come back to court March 15.
