A Jefferson County man currently on probation for theft of property was arrested Friday for allegedly taking an ice chest from a parked vehicle.
Kasey Speer, 33, was taken into custody after White Hall Police responded to a reported theft call at the Holiday Inn Express.
During a court hearing Tuesday, Deput Prosecutor Joe West said the victim told police an ice chest in the back of his pickup truck had been taken.
Because of the circumstances involved, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney approves Wests’ request and set a $50,000 bond for Speer after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with breaking or entering and theft of property.
Speer was told to come back to court Dec. 19.
