$5k bond set for a Jefferson County woman on drug related charges

A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County woman on drug related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ashley Dixon, 38, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Investigator Ryan Edwards, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said in the early morning hours Tuesday, White Hall Police Officer Christian Carroll conduced a business check at the Big Red Travel Plaza just off Interstate 530.

West said Dixon is currently on probation on two cases in Second Division of Circuit Court.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Dixon and she was told to come back to court Dec. 14.
