A reported armed disturbance Thursday in central Pine Bluff resulted in the arrest of a man on multiple felony allegations.

Kenneth Darrough, 42, was taken into custody after he surrendered to police and sheriff’s deputies following the incident at 24th Avenue and Maple Street.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said police responded to that location in response to a report of gunshots.

West said Darrough has previous felony drug related convictions.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $50,000 bond for Darrough after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault, committing a terroristic act, theft by receiving and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Darrough said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come ba ck on August 23, 2023.
