A report of unknown trouble on West 17th Avenue Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly was involved in a physical altercation with a relative.

Ahmad Harris, 19, who has a pending felony allegation of fleeing in a vehicle causing danger stemming from an incident in April and is out on bond was taken into custody at the scene of the incident Saturday.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained what Harris is accused of doing.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that Harris had a .40-caliber pistol with one round in the chamber and three in the magazine on his person when he was arrested.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 bond for Harris after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault on a family or household member. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled and told to come back to court Sept. 15.
