A Pine Bluff man previously convicted of two felonies was arrested Sunday after police found two guns in his residence.

Marquell White, 26, had prior convictions in 2014 for theft of property and in 2016 for aggravated assault, terroristic act, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said White was arrested after police were sent to 2401 W. 31st Ave., in response to a reported disturbance.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that White waived his right to an attorney and said he and the female had been involved in an altercation and he put his hands around her neck to keep her away because she was punching him in the stomach. He also said he did not know he was not supposed to have firearms. He said he got one of the guns from an uncle and the other from his baby mama.
