A $20,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into an apartment Wednesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Michael Everett, 43, with residential burglary and breaking or entering.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said an officer was sent to an apartment on west 34th Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Carson said Everett has a prior drug-related conviction. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled
