An investigation into the shooting death of a Pine Bluff teenager Monday afternoon has resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old-girl who will be charged as an adult with capital murder.

Naomi Jiminez was one of two teens who were questioned after they were found riding in a car that was seen leaving the scene of the shooting at 1118 W. 5th Ave.,

Detective Keith Banks said in a probable cause affidavit that was presented in district court Wednesday that when police arrived at the house, they reported seeing blood on the front door and found a male, identified in the affidavit as Rashad Holden, 16, bleeding from the upper torso. EMTs and First Responders reported that Holden had no vital signs and he was pronounced dead at the scene

Reading from the affidavit during a court hearing Wednesday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained what happened next.

Jiminez and a male juvenile were taken into custody and when he was questioned, the male, who has not been charged, said he thought Jiminez and Cartez Davis, 17, had gone to the house to bring Holden marijuana and to question him about a stolen gun.

When Jiminez was questioned, she said she and Davis had gone to the house and while she and Davis were talking to the victim, Davis started shooting. She said Davis had a Glock nine-millimeter and she had a Taurus nine-millimeter but said she did not fire shots.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jiminez with capital murder and she will be held without bond. Davis is still at large and anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Division at 730-2090 or the dispatch center at 541-5300.
