A $150,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Crossett man on multiple drug and weapons charges.

Laronne Gray, 26, is also accused of leading state police on a high-speed chase in Jefferson and Pulaski Counties before the chase ended on Interstate 440.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Gray with felony fleeing, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, criminal use of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Reading from an affidavit from Trooper Darryl Hinton, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Tuesday, Hinton was patrolling US. Highway 65 at the Jefferson-Grant County line when he saw a green Chevrolet Camero that was traveling 89 miles-per-hour in a 65 mile-per-hour zone. Hinton turned his car around and attempted a traffic stop.

West said the Camero reached speeds of 151 miles-per-hour during the pursuit which ended when Hinton performed a pit maneuver and got the vehicle stopped on I-440.

Gray was ordered to have no contact with the two juveniles and said he would hire his own attorney.

He entered a plea on no contest to multiple traffic citations including speeding, improper passing and disregarding a stop sign.
