A $150,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of rape and fleeing after an incident was reported on Saturday, January 14th.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Corey Wilfong of the Pine Bluff Police Department, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said that officers responded to a call on 5th avenue in reference to a rape incident involving Charlie Dismuke, 32.

At the scene, police spoke with the victim and West went on to report the victim’s statement.

West also reported that Dismuke recently bonded out last month in regards to leaving the scene of an accident.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond for Dismuke after finding probable cause to charge him with rape and fleeing. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and was told to return to court on February 17th.

The public defender’s office was appointed to represent Dismuke.
