A $15,000 cash-only bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man currently on parole after police found the man carrying a loaded pistol.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Percy Little Jr., 40, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Sgt. Mike Roberts, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police were sent to a business on Hazel Street Tuesday in response to a reported theft.

Carson said Little has pending charges of furnishing, possessing, or using a prohibited article while incarcerated and prior convictions for being a felon In possession of a firearm and criminal mischief.

The Department of Community Corrections has also issued a parole hold on Little pending a hearing to determine if he should go back to prison to complete his sentence.

He was told to come back to court July 19.
