A $100,000 bond was set Friday for a Redfield man accused of threatening an employee of the Jefferson County Assessor’s Office Wednesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Patrick Clark, 50, with terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Capt. Yohance Brunson, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Clark called an employee of the Real Estate Office upset because of a change to his property assessment. During the conversation, Clark allegedly said that he would shoot anyone coming on his property at Redfield.

Brunson reported that Clark was taken into custody Thursday and agreed to give a statement.

Clark was ordered to have no contact with courthouse employees and to stay away from the courthouse except for court appearance. He said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court Aug. 23.
