A $100,000 bond was set Monday for a Brinkley man who allegedly assaulted two nurses at Jefferson Regional Hospital Friday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Adrian Ishmon, 39, with second-degree battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said at 6:40, police were sent to the psych ward at the hospital after a report that a patient was beating a nurse.

Alexander said one of the nurses was taken to the Emergency Room for treatment of their injuries.

Ishmon was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Aug. 24.
