A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Redfield man previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery after he was arrested for a second offense last week.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond for Joshua Lawhon, 22, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with felony domestic battery.

Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said deputies were sent to a reported disturbance at a residence on Highway 365 south at Redfield on Feb. 3.

Carson said Lawhon was previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in February 2021. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
