Last week, William Fells III, the former assistant to Mayor Shirley Washington announced that he would be a candidate for the Third Ward City Council seat currently held by Council Member Glen Brown Sr.
Fells was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show Wednesday and was asked about his vision for the ward.
He also said it’s important to get a handle on littering and illegal dumping in the ward.
Fells said there have been times when there were gatherings and shootings after hours at parks and there are some things that can be done such as gates to block entrances after hours. He suggested a task force to talk about that.
