The Monticello Advertising and Promotion Commission has started discussions about the wet-dry township issue, with one member saying she would remain neutral on the issue.

According to the Advance Monticellonian newspaper, commissioner Glenda Nichols, who is director of the Chamber of Commerce, said she had members on both sides of the issue, she would remain neutral and would abstain from voting out of respect for both sides.

Commissioner Kim Patel told Nichols that the issue was likely to pass the commission and if that happens, the commission will need to move forward and if she could not do that, she needed to think about remaining on the commission.
