The recent announcement that Liberty Utilities will be donating $250,000 to help Pine Bluff customers of the company whose plumbing systems need repair from the freezing weather recently will also involve the United Way.
According to United Way director Leslie Dorn, United Way will act as the paying agent for Liberty and the company will be responsible for assessing damages and determining the amount and who is to be paid. United Way will be responsible for issuing checks only.
More information will be released soon about the plan and how customers who need the financial assistance can apply for it.
