UFL kicks off tomorrow with many former state players on rosters

The inaugural year of the UFL will kick off the season tomorrow and the rosters of the eight teams in the league feature several players with Arkansas ties. Former Razorbacks Santos Ramirez (Defenders), Jake Bates (Panthers) and Matt Landers (Brahmas) will suit up this weekend. Arkansas State’s Johnathan Adams will play for the Memphis Showboats, while former Red Wolves Ronheem Bingham, Kirt Merritt and Chris Odom will play for Houston. Former UCA star Lujuan Winningham will be playing for the Arlington Renegades. One of former state player, former Bryant LB Marvin Moody will be playing for the Houston Roughnecks. He played his college ball at Tulane. The new league is spearheaded by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and is a merger of the XFL and the USFL.
