Lady Lions guard Zaay Green says she will return to play for Dawn Thornton next season. Green told reporters of her plans after UAPB was eliminated on Friday from the SWAC tournament. The Duncanville, Texas native played this year as a grad student but can play one more season as all NCAA athletes were given an additional year to play due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Green began her playing career at Tennessee in the 2018-19 season. The following season she played in only two games due to an injury before transferring to Texas A&M. Her one season at A&M did not count against her eligibility due to COVID.
