The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff was among several other Historically Black Universities/Colleges that received a bomb threat on campus at approximately 5:16 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4th, school officials announced. UAPB announced in a press release that although the full student body has not returned to campus yet, students who were on campus were relocated off-campus for the evening.

Florida Memorial University, Howard University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University, Prairie View A&M University, and Xavier University also received threats on Tuesday afternoon and evacuated their campuses.

All of those schools including UAPB had released all-clear notices and instructed students and staff to resume normal operations at 8:00 am Wednesday morning.
