The Arkansas Black Mayor’s Association hosting flooding info meeting Thursday

The Arkansas Black Mayor’s Association will be hosting an information meeting at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Thursday at 6 p.m. to collect information about flooding problems in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Wednesday, Frank Bateman, Executive Director of the group talked about the purpose of the meeting.

Ethan Dunbar, the Mayor of Lewisville and President of the Arkansas Black Mayor’s Association said that Pine Bluff and Jefferson County stands to collect $32 million or about a third of the 95.5 million the federal government has allocated for watershed improvements.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked what the money would be spent for and Dunbar answered this way.
