Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Woods was asked what were the good points for those opposing extending the tax for another seven years.

He went on to say that he had not made up his mind on how he will vote on a three-eights cent tax dedicated strictly to public safety and explained why.

Woods said when the county wide public safety sales tax was first approved, references to district court were not included and in fact, district court as it exists now with its own building did not exist. The judges were located in the civic center.

Asked how he will vote on extending the current Go Forward tax, Woods said he has seen some great things come about because of that tax.
