A District representative says the search for a new Superintendent will begin immediately.

To my SSD family,

First, I want to say how very thankful I am to have had the opportunity to serve as Superintendent of the Sheridan School District. Sheridan has so many outstanding teachers, students and leaders, and I have been blessed to know and work with each of you.

However, I have made the difficult decision to accept a leadership role as Assistant Executive Director with the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators. In that position, I will be working with and serving administrators all over our great state. The opportunity to help grow leaders is something I thoroughly enjoy. (In my new role with AAEA, I’m sure I’ll continue to be in touch with many of you.)

My final day with the Sheridan School District will be June 30.

I’m so proud of the many accomplishments you’ve had the past couple of years. The Sheridan School District has a bright future, and it’s because of all the wonderful people here! As we near the end of the school year, let’s continue to work together to have a strong finish to a great year. Thank you for all that you do, and best wishes on your continued success.

Sincerely,

Dr. Karla Neathery
