In a new deal reached by Southeast Arkansas College and Arkansas Tech College, a plan has been developed to manage the transition for SEARK associate of arts in teaching graduates to receive their bachelor’s degree at Arkansas Tech.

Coined the “2+2 pathway “, the purpose behind the agreement is to provide relief for students as they continue their path to become educators.

Students can earn their degree online or on campus under the new deal, as well as use the credits earned at SEARK college to Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education according to a press release.

Stacy Pfluger, Interim President of Southeast Arkansas College emphasized the significance of this collaboration.

“SEARK College recognizes the high demand for quality educators in the Delta region. By offering students a clear route to transition from SEARK College to Arkansas Tech University, we empower our students to become the next generation of effective educators while remaining in the region” said Pfluger.
