A special election is scheduled in August as voters in the Pine Bluff School District will decide the fate of a millage increase to build a new high school and make improvements to other schools in the district.

Go Forward Pine Bluff has announced their support for the increase and on Friday, Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked about the decision to donate money to the campaign.

Watley went on to talk about the current high school campus, particularly since Police Chief Denise Richardson mentioned how secure the new campus will be compared to the present one.

Morning show host Greg Horne then asked Watley about some of the things Go Forward has already done to support education, such as helping teachers get certified and receive master’s degrees.
