A Prattsville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Dallas County Sunday night.
According to a preliminary report, Dean D. Paige, 44, was eastbound on Arkansas Highway 48 when he failed to negotiate a curve and the 2013 Kia he was driving left the roadway on the left and hit a tree. The vehicle came to rest in the roadside ditch on the west side of the roadway and Paige was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 11:12 p.m. and the death was the 45th so far this year on the state’s highways.
