A Pine Bluff woman was killed, and three other people were hurt, two of them from Pine Bluff in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in Conway Wednesday afternoon.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, La’Tiya Jenkins, 36, of Pine Bluff was a passenger in a 2012 Honda Pilot that struck the back of a 2020 Ford van while both vehicles were eastbound near mile marker 125 in Faulkner County.

After the impact, the Honda crossed all lanes of traffic, struck the right guardrail, overturned and came to rest facing south under the overpass at Siebenmorgen. After impact, the Ford van rotated clockwise and came to rest on the left shoulder of I-40 East.

The driver of the Honda, Reginald Livingston, 37, of Little Rock and two passengers, Anthony Jenkins, 55,  and Alysia Chapman, 19, both of Pine Bluff were injured and taken to hospitals at Conway.

The accident was reported at 4:21 p.m. and the death was the 404th reported so far this year on the state’s highways.
