Pine Bluff Interim Assistant Chief of Police Kelvin Hadley reports that 2020 was “pretty good” year for the force in controlling crime outside of homicides.

Hadley was asked what Pine Bluff PD can do to limit the number of homicides and said some are just unavoidable.

Hadley says the Pine Bluff PD is being very aggressive in recruiting new officers.  One area that needs immediate help is the internal affairs department because they are heavily involved in hiring new officers.

When asked about how much internal affairs has to work on officer misconduct Hadley said they do get complaints but many are unjustified.
