A 32-year-old Pine Bluff man was killed in a two-vehicle traffic accident Sunday night.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, William Boyd Jr., was traveling south on U.S. 79B, Camden Road at a high rate of speed when the 2008 Yahama Raptor he was riding struck the left front fender, wheel area of a 2003 Ford Taurus. Boyd was thrown from the four-wheeler onto the northbound traffic lane.

Pine Bluff Police Sgt. Travis Goforth, said in the preliminary report that the weather was clear and the roadway dry when the accident was report at 8:25 p.m.

The death was the 104th on the state’s highways so far this year.
