A Pine Bluff man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in the early morning hours Christmas day.
According to a preliminary report, Fernand Gardner, 42, was westbound on Faucett Toad when the 2016 Chevrolet pickup he was driving left the roadway on the southside and hit a concrete culvert.
Gardner was taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital where he died.
The accident was reported at 2:52 a.m. and the death was the 556th so far this year on the state’s highways.
