SeArk College President Dr. Stephen Bloomberg is scheduled to leave his post in mid-February to become the Chancellor of Kern Community College District in California. Due to his resignation, the SeArk College board met Wednesday to appoint an interim President to serve until a new President is named.
Following an executive session that took approximately one hour, the board named Dr. Stacy Pfluger as interim President.
Pfluger spoke with Deltaplex News about her appointment, and what some of her goals are.
Pfluger said that Bloomberg has done a lot to help prepare her for her new assignment.
Bloomberg said that the board made a great choice when they selected Pfluger.
Bloomberg also spoke about how he will help Pfluger prepare to take over once he leaves in February.
Pfluger is currently serving as Provost and Chief Academic Officer for SeArk College.
