A Beebe man was killed in the early morning hours when he was hit by a vehicle while attempting to U.S. Highway67 in Jacksonville.
According to a preliminary report, Leyton McMasters, 24, was attempting to cross the highway at the 15-mile marker when he was hit by a 2018 Nissan Rouge that had been southbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 2:20 a.m., and the death was the 4th so far this year on the state’s highways.
