One person was killed and a second injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pulaski County Thursday night.
According to a preliminary report, Marquita Gantt, 40, of Little Rock was westbound on Mabelvale Cutoff when the 2009 Chevrolet she was driving crossed the centerline and struck a 2002 Lexus driven by Martin Cole, 29, also of Little Rock head-on.
Gantt was killed and Cole was injured and taken to a Little Rock hospital for treatment.
The accident was reported at 8:44 p.m. and the death was the 353rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
