National Weather Service comfirms tornado in East End and Sardis

Survey crews from the NWS have determined that a EF-1 tornado hit the areas near Sardis and East End in Saline County on Saturday. The tornado happened between 6:45 and 6:49 p.m. with winds of about 95 miles per hour and spanning a width of about 500 yards. It took a path of about 2.5 miles.  Fire departments in East End and the Saline County Emergency Management assessed damage over the weekend.
