Long time Sheridan school employee named High School Principal

The Sheridan School Board has voted to hire Candace Wilson as the district’s new High School Principal.

Wilson currently serves as the assistant principal as SHS. She has been in education since 2005 and first joined the district as a teacher in 2008.  She was the Arkansas Teacher of The Year semi-finalist in 2019. She then became a secondary instructional facilitator before taking on her role as the assistant principal. She is a graduate of Henderson State University and a holds a Masters Degree from Arkansas State.  She will begin her duties at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year
