The Watson Chapel School Board voted to extend the contract of Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee during its recent meeting.
McGee’s contract was extended by three years. He spoke with Deltaplex News following the vote about the extension and what it means to him and the district moving forward.
McGee added that construction of the new Watson Chapel High School is entering its final phases. He noted that during a November visit by Deltaplex News, work was underway on key elements of the project, including the installation of the new gym floor.
He also shared that the school board approved the calendar for the next school year.
McGee also spoke about what the district is doing to improve the letter grade assessed by the State of Arkansas.
