Watson Chapel High School will remain closed on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, because of an ongoing power outage in the school’s main building, district officials announced.
According to the district, Entergy crews are continuing repair work, and an update on the status of operations for Thursday, Sept. 25, will be provided by noon Wednesday. The missed instructional day will be made up later in the school year.
All other campuses in the Watson Chapel School District will operate on a normal schedule.
The district also announced that varsity football practice will proceed as scheduled at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
