Political filings continue across Arkansas, and the Drew County Clerk’s Office has released an updated list of local candidates seeking public office.
In the race for County Judge, three candidates have filed: Jessie Griffin and Michael Owens, both Republicans, and Robert Akin, who filed as an Independent.
For County Clerk, Stephanie Chisom, a Republican, has entered the race.
Charles Searcy, also a Republican, has filed for County Treasurer, while Doug Harton, a Republican, is seeking the position of County Surveyor.
The race for Sheriff currently includes Larry Smith and Jerome Perez, both filing as Independents.
In Quorum Court races, Frank Appleberry (Independent) has filed for Position 8, Ben Higginbotham (Republican) for Position 2, and Roger Harris (Republican) for Position 3.
In the Monticello School District, Keith Wells, Sr. has filed as an Independent for Position 2, and LeAnne Burch has filed as an Independent for Position 1.
