Wednesday is United Way Day on Deltaplex Radio and Oldies 101.3 FM, where the United Way of Southeast Arkansas is featured each week to highlight its impact on the community.
Jason Duren of the United Way joined Jennifer Lipp on Wednesday morning to discuss how the organization has been assisting residents during the winter storm that moved through the area over the weekend.
Duren shared how the United Way functions and is able to help citizens not only in severe weather, but also throughout the year.
He also noted how the different agencies under the United Way umbrella work to help one another throughout the year.
Duren added that the United Way will help host a free tax day for citizens at the end of January.
