Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander told the court what officers found at the house.

Alexander said they also located a small amount of fentanyl, several pills that were determined to be ecstasy, two I-phones, and a magazine.

Winston has pending drug related charges stemming from an arrest in 2025 and Nelson has multiple prior felony convictions, most on weapons charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge Winston and Nelson with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and violation of the machine gun act.

Because of the pending charges, bond for Winston was set at $50,000 cash only while bond for Nelson was set at $50,000 secured. Both men were told to come back to court April 24.
