Two Monticello Residents Arrested on Kidnapping, Assault, and Theft Charges

Two Monticello residents have been arrested in connection with a violent incident that occurred in rural Drew County earlier this month.

On September 24, 2025, members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cassidy Hill, 24, and Charetha Foster, 24, following an investigation that began on September 17. Authorities allege the pair abducted a woman and took her to a rural area against her will, where she was assaulted, robbed, and left stranded.

Hill and Foster were charged with aggravated assault, second-degree battery, kidnapping, and theft of property.

The suspects were brought before Circuit Judge Robert Gibson III, who set bond at $50,000 each. They are currently being held at the Drew County Detention Facility pending bond.

The case remains under investigation, according to Sheriff Tim Nichols.
