Bonds of $25,000 each were set Monday for two people arrested Saturday after drugs and a gun were found in a vehicle near two Department of Corrections prisons.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Samuel Moore, 38, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and Kendall Ezell, 22, of Jacksonville with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Reading from an affidavit from State Police Special Agent Houston Talley, a deputy prosecutor said on Saturday at 7:45 p.m., department of corrections personnel were notified of a vehicle at the Y between the Tucker Unit and the Larry B. Norris Unit of the Department of Corrections.
Moore is currently on parole while Ezell has no prior convictions or pending charges. Both were told to come back to court March 25.
