The City of Sheridan is recognizing Council Member Marion Lynn Camp for his years of dedicated service as he retires from public office, while also beginning the search for someone to fill his vacant seat on the city council.
Camp has faithfully served the Sheridan community in multiple roles, including clerk-treasurer, water board member, and city council member. City officials praised his leadership and commitment, noting the lasting impact he has had on Sheridan’s growth and development.
“Lynn’s dedication and hard work have left a lasting mark on our city,” officials said in a statement. “We are grateful for everything he has done and wish him the very best in his retirement.”
With Camp’s retirement, the City of Sheridan is now accepting resumes for individuals interested in serving the remainder of the term for Ward 3, Position 2 on the city council.
To be eligible, applicants must reside within Ward 3. Resumes should be submitted to Sheridan City Hall no later than September 30, 2025.
