At its most recent meeting, the Sheridan City Council approved a request to repair the roof at the Sheridan Parks and Recreation’s main building.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, Roof Connect of Sheridan will be doing the work.
Also at the meeting, Parks and Recreation Director Joel Stanton announced the end of summer league ball and said fall ball will begin in August.
Mayor Cain Nattin announced that he is seeking a small grant to help the Sheridan Water Department replace water meters throughout the city.
He has also applied for an Arkansas Community Assistance Grant which would support renovations, new construction and more methods of improving economic growth in the downtown area.
Nattin said he wants to improve the area across from City Hall on Bell Street if the grant is approved.
